Electrum Discovery Corp. unveils exploration breakthroughs at Timok East Copper-Gold

23rd June 2025 Electrum Discovery Corp. unveils exploration breakthroughs at Timok East Copper-Gold

Electrum Discovery Corp. has informed in a press release about the transformative findings from its recent ground magnetic survey at the Timok East Copper-Gold Project, located in Serbia’s renowned West Tethyan Belt. This survey marks a significant step forward in understanding the region’s rich copper-gold potential.

Key highlights

The 280 line-km of ground magnetic survey over 59 sq km across the Makovište and Luka licenses.
Bambino Trend: A magnetic-high anomaly extending northwards, linked to elevated copper and gold values in soil and rock, revealing untapped exploration potential.
Western Mag Target: A major NNW-trending feature aligns with volcanic units and structural corridors, known for hosting porphyry systems.
New Target: A fresh magnetic anomaly discovered along a limestone-sandstone boundary with zero historic exploration—a high-priority focus for follow-up.

Design future extraction

These findings aren’t just dots on a map; they redefine Timok East’s potential as a world-class copper-gold exploration project. The Bambino Trend’s northward extension, coupled with the newly identified targets, supports the presence of magnetite-rich hydrothermal systems, key for skarn and porphyry-style.
Electrum’s team is already integrating magnetic survey data with existing geological, geochemical, and geophysical insights to prioritize follow-up exploration. Fieldwork, including geochemical surveys and geological mapping, is set to kick off soon, paving the way for the next phase of discovery.

The Karamanica Prospect

Dr. Elena Clarici, CEO of Electrum, emphasized: “Previous work across the Karamanica Prospect has highlighted a significant surface geochemical soil anomaly, with rock sample grades up to 11.10 g/t Au, 117 g/t Ag, 5.74% Cu, 5.18% Zn and 1.96% Pb, underlining the exceptional prospectivity of the broader Novo Tlamino Project (…)Our ongoing work at Karamanica is providing a clearer geological model and highlighting the potential for both structurally controlled gold-base metal mineralised veins and skarn or carbonate replacement style mineralisation. We look forward to integrating the latest assay and petrological results to refine targets for the next phase of exploration at Novo Tlamino.”

The Karamanica Prospect, part of the Novo Tlamino Project, is located approximately 8 kilometers to the west of Electrum’s existing Barje deposit which contains an inferred mineral resource of 670,000 oz AuEq2 (7.1 Mt at 2.5 g/t Au and 38 g/t Ag containing 570,000 oz Au and 8.8 Moz of Ag).
This is a pivotal moment for mining in the West Tethyan Belt, with Timok East leading the way.
