The 6th Polish Mining Congress (Polski Kongres Górniczy), which was held 24-26th September 2025, was one of the largest events of its kind in Poland, organized every three years. It serves as the most important national forum for discussion on the future of mining and raw materials policy.

MinePL2050 – raw materials, energy, and transformation

This year’s edition brought together leading experts, policymakers, and industry representatives across a rich program of plenary sessions and specialized thematic panels, hosted at the Centrum Spotkania Kultur w Lublinie, Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie, the Lublin Conference Centre, and Lubelski Węgiel BOGDANKA S.A.

Key debates focused on the national strategy for critical raw materials, new techniques and technologies in underground mining, the digital and energy transformation of the mining sector, as well as automation, safety, and the future of work in mining.

50th anniversary of LW Bogdanka S.A.

This edition of the Congress was also a special occasion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the commencement of construction of the Lubelski Węgiel BOGDANKA S.A. mining facility a milestone in Polish mining history.

Such forums demonstrate the vitality of the mining sector in Poland and its commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainable resource policy for the future. Moreover, they are international platforms for discussion and the transfer of knowledge.
