First ore extracted from Rajo Inca project!

CODELCO has informed the general audience that last week it extracted the first ore from the Rajo Inca deposit. The Rajo Inca project is more than 60% built. The full operation will be achieved next year.

The Rajo Inca project will allow the operation of the Salvador Division to be extended for 47 years, given the depletion of the resources currently in exploitation.

Boosting production

Extracting the copper ore is an approach that will boost CODELCO’s copper production.

The company has also stated that in the next 7 months, the concentrator plant will increase its ore processing level and reach 37,000 metric tons of ore per day.
