25th March 2025 Strengthening collaboration between LW Bogdanka S.A. and JSW S.A. continues

Representatives from Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A. recently visited Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. (JSW) to further the initiatives outlined in the Letter of Intent signed on November 30, 2024. During the visit, key companies within the JSW Capital Group were also introduced.

Official meeting

Bartosz Rożnawski, Vice President for Production, and Artur Wasilewski, Vice President for Economic and Financial Affairs led the visit. Both companies informed that the delegation visited the Jastrzębskie Zakłady Remontowe (JZR) in Suszec, where they explored JSW Capital Group’s projects focused on the unification of mechanized roof supports and scraper conveyors.

Adam Rozmus, Deputy President for Technical and Operational Affairs at JSW SA. has stated: “For years, we have successfully implemented projects to standardize machinery, including mechanized roof supports and both belt and scraper conveyors. This is an area where we can share our experiences and achievements”.

The visit also highlighted JSW’s ongoing initiatives to enhance production quality and manage roof control in their operational mining panels. Bartosz Rożnawski, informed that: “The initiatives presented will undoubtedly serve as a starting point for further discussions and the optimal use of new solutions we are currently implementing. These have already been proven effective in JSW’s challenging mining conditions.” Moreover, he has added that: “Solutions that have been successful in JSW’s mining conditions may also yield excellent results for us.”

Future projects

Moreover, both companies have informed that the combined delegation also attended presentations on the products and services offered by JSW IT Systems and the Central Measurement and Research Laboratory.

According to Artur Wasilewski: “This meeting provided valuable insights into the competencies of JSW Capital Group companies and laid a strong foundation for further collaboration to foster mutual development.”

Both parties emphasized that the visit was instrumental in identifying areas for continued collaboration, particularly at the engineering and technical levels.
