31st December 2025 Super Copper with a major milestone at Chile’s Atacama Copper Belt
Progress in mining isn’t just measured in meters drilled, it’s defined by securing the right to build something lasting.
Permission granted
Super Copper Corp. has informed that it has reached a decisive inflection point at its flagship Cordillera Cobre copper project in Chile. Following a rigorous regulatory process, 26 mining exploitation concessions have now been formally approved by Chile’s Servicio Nacional de Geología y Minería | Sernageomin, covering approximately 6,858 hectares in one of the world’s most prolific copper regions.
This marks the completion of the most technically demanding stage of Chile’s mining title process. Importantly, these are exploitation concessions the highest tier of mineral rights in Chile providing full, permanent, and legally protected mining rights once registration is finalized.
Key progress
- 25 concessions have received formal court resolutions
- 15 concessions have been published in the Official Mining Gazette
- Registration with the Copiapó Mining Registry is actively underway
Once registered, each concession becomes fully constituted, enabling drilling, development studies, construction, production, and long-term mine planning.
Most exciting new copper project in region
As CEO Zachary Dolesky stated: “This is a critical milestone for Super Copper. Securing exploitation concessions, not just exploration rights, gives full and permanent mining rights at Cordillera Cobre. With the title process effectively complete and registration progressing as planned, we are positioned to submit our drill program promptly upon finalizing results from our most recent exploration work. This positions Super Copper to advance one of the most exciting new copper projects in the Atacama region, at a time when global copper demand is entering a major structural deficit.”
Roadmap
Looking ahead, with initial concession registrations expected in Q1 2026, the company is preparing to:
- Submit drilling notices to SERNAGEOMIN under the simplified procedure (up to 40 platforms),
- Finalize drill contractors and logistics,
- Launch Phase 1 drilling on priority targets defined by recent IP and ground magnetic surveys.
At a time when global electrification, energy transition, and infrastructure growth are driving an unprecedented structural copper deficit, milestones like this matter not just for shareholders, but for the future of responsible resource development.
Further updates will follow as concessions complete registration.
