Vinacomin invest in bauxite production

Vinacomin has issued a statement that it’s going to invest ca. of $7.3 billion to increase production of aluminum production. This decision is due to the rising country demand for the metal. The production will be increased in two bauxite exploration projects and five refining projects. According to the company, the production in the Nhan Co Alumina complex will be increased from 650 tonnes to 2 million tons of metal, and in Dak Nong complex the bauxite-alumina-aluminum production should achieve ca. 2 million tons of alumina and 0.5-1 million tons of aluminum a year.

The Dak Nong bauxite deposit reserve is estimated at 5.4 billion tons.
